Religious Forest Commitee of Patal Bhuvaneshwar has been doing intensive speleological research of Patal Bhuvaneshwar cave Nepal. The area of Patal Bhuvaneshwar, will be researched in detail this year and has been a great attraction for international speleologists well as. This year we would like to invite all speleologists from around the world interested in actively participating in our research, to show them the beauty and wonders of Far West Nepal.

Introduction to the Nepal's deepest Cave– A brief hint of the History

Patal Bhuvaneshwar Cave is located in Surnaya Rural Municipality,Ward Number -2 of Baitadi District. The deepest cave of Nepal and other 26 small caves are located in the dense forest area of 751 Acres Land. The forest is also declared as the first religious forest of the Baitadi district as there are lots of Hindu beliefs and myths related with the cave,the temple and the pond above the cave where the big feast is held in the day of Mahashivaratri. It is believed that there is a stream of milk at the end of the cave. Patal Bhuvaneswar Cave is claimed to be the deepest cave of Asia Nepal by Cave Researchers.

Message from Chairman

Hello and Namaste Everyone !! I am Arun Bista, Chairman of Patal Bhuwaneshwar Forest Committee. Welcome to the website of Patal Bhuvaneshwar ,the deepest cave of Nepal and one holy and majestic touristic destination of Sudurpaschim Province. First of all I would like to thank all 650 consumers of our Siddhanath forest who gave me opportunity to be the chairman of our first and glorious committee. I am glad that since I became the chairman of the committee with our joint effort we were able to make this forest the first religious forest of the district. I would also like to thank Surnaya Rural Municiplaity, Nepal Tourism Board and the Tourism Ministry of Nepal for allocating funds for infrastructure development in this tourist destination. Its great sharing the news that within few years of the committee formation we have completed work of around 2 cores (footrail, marriage spot, committee office ,boundary wall ) and also the DPR of 15 core has been designed for further development which is promised to be allocate by Nepal Government.
